Margot checked out the new pictures with David and encourage Bea as she walked. She ate with dad, then read her French sound book. During circle time everyone had a chance to meet Delilah and her mom Anaise (pronounced like “an ace of cards”). Pookie the Shy Raccoon also paid a visit to comfort our shyest ones. We used the colored Montessori hanging beads to identify colors and quantities up to ten. We sang children’s songs with the ukulele and reviewed the rules of the room. We snacked and read the oversized Red Rooster book. Outside Margot swung with August, then they hid in the corner next to the kitchen. She collected goodies in the yellow cup and used them to make food.
She slept about an hour. During circle time we snacked and the older kids worked on subtraction and cut-and-paste while the rest of the kiddos colored. We also worked on patterns and hand-eye coordination with the colorful snowflakes.
