Patrick skipped breakfast and played with his brother, then he did a great job of sharing the reading sofa with JJ and Gwen. During circle time, we sing songs and talked about our feelings. we used light boards to look at x-rays of various sea animals, (seal, sea lion, turtle, etc.). we also listened to various sea animal sounds. We had a snack and the younger kids practiced going potty while the older kids used rulers to practice measuring squares and rectangles. Outside Patrick used a cup to collect goodies and asked if he could eat the basil in the garden. He checked out the street cleaner with the big girls and tossed canopy balls with Fei.
He slept about 90 minutes. During circle time we snacked and talked about the importance of persisting in the face of adversity. We reminded everyone that making mistakes and being frustrated happens to everyone and it’s how we learn! The older kids did addition worksheets while the young’uns played with the magnetic people.
