Delilah arrived just in time for breakfast. She ate with mom and seemed quite comfortable. She checked out the main room, then sat with everyone for circle time. During circle time everyone had a chance to meet Delilah and her mom Anaise (pronounced like “an ace of cards”). Pookie the Shy Raccoon also paid a visit to comfort our shyest ones. We used the colored Montessori hanging beads to identify colors and quantities up to ten. We sang children’s songs with the ukulele and reviewed the rules of the room. We snacked and read the oversized Red Rooster book. Outside Delilah was very adventurous. She was particularly interested in trying to get into and out of the red cars.
