August ate breakfast with dad and talked about alumni and playing hooky. After breakfast, August played with his rupiah on the green rug. During circle time we sang songs and talk about our emotions. We did a summer campfire craft together as a group. We reviewed the center board (JKL, -gh and -ow words, etc.) and talked about the end of the month. We reviewed the months of the year and the months of the seasons. We snacked and the younger kids shared light boards while the older kids worked on playing a board game together. The big kids did worksheets counting backwards and vertical math. We had free play because it was still raining.
He rested but did not nap. During circle time we snacked and the older kids worked on writing complete sentences on lined paper! Everyone was eager to go outside because we missed our morning recess.
