August ate breakfast with dad and talked about crescent, arcs and semi circles. Afterwards he and Nia did some serious giggling by the main bathroom. During circle time we sang songs and talked about our emotions. We reviewed the rules of the room and talked about earthquake safety in advance of today’s drill. We practiced the drill (under the table in a crouch position) with a minimum of tears, then we went outside. August rode bikes with Feronia and they worked together to figure out how to share their bikes. August later swung on his own.During circle time Fei played the ukulele and we sang children’s songs. Each kiddo held an animal figurine as we talked about farm animals, then we use whiteboards to practice rainbow math from 0 to 10. The big kids worked on a math worksheet while the young’uns wrote on whiteboards.
He rested but did not nap. During circle time we snacked and talked about using our quiet voices and not banging objects at the table. The older kids made extravagant patterns on the lightboards with translucent tiles while the middles matched animals and their patterns and the young’uns played with dino figurines.
